About Sheryl
Sheryl Sharon Sabban founded Sabban IP after over a decade in a corporate patent department of the Teva Pharmaceuticals where she held diverse and senior roles advising on patent strategy.
Her experience developing patent strategies with calculated risk and earliest launch of generic products and subsequent proven track record in the innovative space developing high value assets, uniquely positions her to provide high quality patent counsel to life science companies which drive company valuations and outperform competition. Accompanying products and patent strategies from early inception until launch, often through litigation, as well as being involved in both sides of due diligence efforts with large pharmaceutical companies, she has a deep understanding of the key drivers of a robust patent strategy.

Her role in Teva involved being on a product selection and strategy team where IP strategy played a leading role in ensuring innovation and post-launch exclusivity to drive cost and risk of commercialization. This provided a range of experience in a variety of products ranging from standard pharmaceuticals to more challenging legals areas such as diagnostics and drug delivery.
Sheryl’s experience in private practice and in-house roles at early to mid stage companies, has contributed to understanding the unique challenges and appropriate frameworks for working with Israel based SMEs. Sheryl has assisted numerous clients and investors in their due diligence efforts.

She consults on intellectual property matters in the fields of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, surgical robotics and food tech, and is admitted to practice before the Israel Patent and Trademark Office and is a member of the Israel Patent Attorneys Association (IPAA) and holds a BSc. and an MSc. in Biomedical Science from Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
